Istanbul

After a six hour trip, we arrived in Istanbul.  We had clouds the first day, but the weather became sunny for the rest of our stay.

Taksim Square:  This shopping area is in European Istanbul.  They sold everything.

Look what we found!! Go, Riders, Go

Istanbul Station--Was the southern station for the Orient Express.  Agatha Christie stayed in Istanbul while she wrote "Murder on the Orient Express".

Bosporus:  We took a cruise on the Bosporus.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit in Turkey.  Our tour guides were knowledgeable about the areas they took us to; the people were friendly and helpful; the weather was decent; and there is still lots for us to see.  Our hotels were good with WiFi, hot showers, and a simple breakfast.

Tomorrow, we will be going to London, and then onto Scotland to see our friend,  Barbara Wilson.
